Karan Offers Shah Rukh's Role To Salman
Here's the latest update from the world of Bollywood. We bet you wouldn't want to miss this. Read on for details... Buzz is, the filmmaker is trying to woo the Kick star back into Dharma fold
We were the first to tell you that Shah Rukh Khan has opted out of Karan Johar's period drama set during the Partition (Shah Rukh Khan bows out of Karan Johar's film, September 14).
While buzz was that Hrithik Roshan or Ranveer Singh may step into SRK's shoes (not literally, of course) in the film to be directed by newbie Abhishek Varman, SpotboyE exclusively has it that KJo has now knocked on Salman Khan's door for the same.
This comes as an interesting piece of news, given Salman-Karan's history.
For those who need a quick refresher, the Bajjrangi Bhaijaan actor was all set to do KJo's Shuddhi. However, he walked out of the project when the filmmaker participated in AIB Roast, where the stand-up comedians took a dig at one of his family members (Salman says no to Shuddhi, May 8). Things reached an all-time low between them at that point.
But the Student Of The Year director was quick to make amends. In May this year, KJo was one of the many who visited Salman as he awaited the High Court verdict on the 2002 hit-and-run case
Not just that, he also attended Salman's sister Arpita Khan's birthday bash in August this year, thus signalling that there was no enmity whatsoever between him and the superstar (Salman, Karan Johar friends again!, August 3). Since then, things have been hunky dory between the two - or so, at least on the surface.
Hope this story has a real, happy ending.
